📅 Our internship program at Enterprise Communications Group is officially over!
It was a great pleasure to work with the students from the Electrical Engineering and Automation School in Sofia.
During these 10 days they had the opportunity to learn about different aspects of our work and gain valuable knowledge and experience.
Here is what we managed to achieve together:
🔹 In the “Assemblies and Installations” department, we got acquainted with optical cables, their advantages and techniques for laying and working with them, and we conducted a practical exercise on optical fiber splicing.
🔹 At the Quasar Competence Centre at the Institute of Robotics of BAS, we looked at quantum physics in cryptography, the theoretical foundations of quantum cryptography and demonstrated the BB84 quantum key distribution (QKD) protocol.
🔹 We explored technical security systems, including access control systems (ACS), security alarm systems (SIS), fire alarm systems (FAS), and video surveillance systems.
🔹 We learned about meter and gas meter replacement applications as well as IoT data processing and visualization on a web interface.
🔹 We looked at different types of wired networks, with a focus on GPON, and discussed what the project entails and how it is planned and executed in our company.
🔹 In the sales department, we introduced the interns to the basics of sales and marketing in telecommunications, as well as customer acquisition and retention processes.
🔹 On the last day, we discussed base stations and the mobile and transport network, as well as the specific skills needed to work in telecommunications “in the field”.
Thanks to the trainees for their diligence, enthusiasm and active participation throughout!
Good luck and see you again,
Enterprise Communications Group 🌟
